Electronic DVIR
On Duty turns the daily vehicle inspection into a signed record a safety director can stand behind: a QR plate on every zone proves the driver was there, every defect carries a photo, the repair is certified by the mechanic, and the next driver signs before the wheels turn.

How it works
Paper DVIRs get pencil-whipped in the cab. On Duty makes the walk itself the proof.
Laser-etched QR plates are mounted at each inspection zone on the tractor and trailer. A scan opens that zone's checklist and timestamps the driver's presence there.
Component by component, filtered to the unit's own configuration. "No" opens the camera: a defect is never filed without a photo taken in the app.
The report is built from what the server holds, hashed, and signed with the driver's PIN. It cannot be edited afterwards — only corrected by a new report.
A mechanic certifies each repair with a photo. The next driver reads the report and the certification and signs before the unit moves. There is no override.
The record
Every rule an auditor asks about is a gate in the software, not a line in a training manual.
Coverage is provable. Every check maps to one of the eleven required categories, and the report shows which were inspected on this unit.
Defects carry evidence. Component, zone, side, severity, description and a photograph hashed at capture.
Exactly two certification outcomes. Repaired, or repair unnecessary — with a photo for the first and a reason for the second. Brake work only by a qualified inspector.
The next driver signs first. A unit with an uncertified or unacknowledged defect report cannot start a new inspection. No role can override it.
Who it's for
Company code, driver ID, a PIN. Scan, walk, answer, sign. Coming soon: offline yard mode, so a yard with no signal does not hold up the inspection and the report uploads when there is one. The camera is the only way in for a photo — never the gallery.
Certify repairs in the app, or through a one-time link sent to an outside shop — no install, no account, scoped to the defects on that order. Photos and the invoice go on the record.
Every defect the moment it is filed, with the photo. Who is waiting on a repair, who is waiting on a sign-off, and a signed PDF for any unit, any day, at roadside or at audit.
